Chevrolet Equinox EV Recalled Because It May Not Brake When Using Cruise Control
Briefly

General Motors is recalling nearly 3,000 Chevrolet Equinox EV crossovers in the U.S. for a software issue that compromises automatic braking during adaptive cruise control use. This recall specifically targets all-wheel-drive models produced between July 25, 2025, and December 6, 2024, without the Super Cruise feature. The faulty software calibration may prevent necessary braking when deceleration is detected. Although regenerative braking will still operate, manual braking is advised until the vehicle is fixed via software updates at dealerships or over-the-air for some unsold models.
