ChargePoint introduces the universal EV connector, Omni Port, designed to support existing and future EVs. It can be retrofitted into existing stations at a nominal cost.
Customers can use Omni Port by entering their vehicle model in the ChargePoint app or selecting the appropriate connector from the charging station screen.
The United States lacks a formal EV charging standard, but ChargePoint is embracing Tesla's North American Charging Standard (NACS) by rolling out support in 2023.
