There were these relationships that have meant an enormous amount to me...I was trying to try to find some meaning in what these years had been to me.
But once I started getting into it, and I showed it to a couple of friends who are serious writers...they were encouraging. But they also said, 'Look, what you would say to an actor, or to a writer at this point is, 'Where are you? You've got to dig deep.'
