A recent survey conducted by Bosch Power Tools highlighted that construction workers, firefighters, military personnel, and doctors are regarded as the toughest jobs in America. The survey involved 2,000 respondents and revealed that while many view their jobs as challenging, trade workers notably rated their work as difficult. Notably, 72% of respondents believe trade workers deserve more recognition, and many non-trade workers expressed a willingness to engage in trade careers if given opportunities in education. The results point to a broader appreciation for the hard work that tradespeople contribute.
Despite not getting enough credit, there is a strong desire among non-trade workers, with 49% expressing interest in pursuing trades as a career if given the chance.
The survey shows that 40% of employed Americans view their jobs as hard, with trade workers more likely to rate their jobs as challenging than non-trade workers.
