The Artemis II crew honored mission commander Reid Wiseman's late wife, Carroll, by naming a moon crater after her. Carroll Wiseman passed away in 2020 after battling cancer. Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen expressed the crew's emotional tribute, stating, "We lost a loved one. Her name was Carroll. The spouse of Reid, the mother of Katie and Ellie." The crew also proposed naming another crater on the moon's far side "Integrity" to honor their spacecraft's historic journey into space.
