Christiane Amanpour is fighting ovarian cancer for a second time, discovered early after she experienced pelvic pain and found to have slight adhesion to her pelvis. The condition represents a fairly rare form of ovarian cancer. Her gynecologic oncology consultant is Dr. Angela George; the disease was caught early because symptoms prompted medical attention. She is undergoing a two-year immunotherapy regimen and is currently in remission. She continues to work while receiving treatment and recommends listening to the body and seeking prompt care for symptoms.
