Cancer patients are increasingly opting for unproven treatments such as coffee enemas and raw juice diets due to misinformation found online. At the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) conference, experts expressed concern that this trend is resulting in unnecessary deaths and disease progression. A report highlighted a significant rise in cancer misinformation over the past decade, with the public losing trust in medical professionals. Physicians are challenged to support patients seeking 'natural' remedies and ultimately guide them back to evidence-based treatments as they face dire consequences for their choices.
