A fatal collision on the R240 at Carrowmore, Glentogher, resulted in the death of a young child on Wednesday evening. Gardaí were alerted shortly before 6.30pm to an incident involving a car and a van. The remaining passengers, including a female driver and two children, were transported to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, all in serious condition. The road has been closed for forensic examination, with diversions established. Gardaí are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage from anyone in the area during the incident.
