Canada's unemployment rate remained steady at 6.5 per cent in October, with minimal job growth observed from the previous month, according to Statistics Canada.
Job sectors showed varied trends: employment increased in business, building, and other support services, but declined in finance, insurance, and public administration.
The total hours worked saw a 1.6 per cent increase year over year, and the average hourly wage also experienced a notable rise of 4.9 per cent.
While the youth employment rate increased for the first time since April, it is still down 2.7 percentage points compared to last year.
