Police investigated and reported no indication of a criminal offence. The organization had temporarily consolidated residents from several Burlington, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Mississauga and Oakville group homes into its main Oakville facility in October ahead of a strike. Family members have asked the provincial premier to return residents to their regular homes. Frontline workers represented by OPSEU Local 249 began striking Nov. 19 over wages and working conditions.
