Last year's theft at a Toronto Pearson International Airport facility involved the largest gold heist in Canadian history, orchestrated by organized criminals. The stolen 6,600 gold bars valued at $14m were part of a shipment from a Swiss refinery.
Nine suspects, including Air Canada employees and a jewellery store owner, were named in the heist. Five arrests made in Canada, one in the US with illegal firearms, three suspects remain at large.
