Premier Doug Ford announced the extension of Ontario's gas tax cut to 9 cents per litre until June 30, 2025, saving households approximately $380 annually.
The government will also maintain the diesel fuel tax cut, originally introduced in July 2022, to mitigate costs for families and businesses further.
Ford criticized the federal carbon tax for adding significant costs, urging a repeal. He highlighted its 17.6-cent increase on gas, set to rise again in 2025.
