Mississauga house fire on Halloween deemed suspicious, police say | CBC News
"A house fire in Mississauga on Halloween night is being investigated as suspicious, Peel police say. Just before 9 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a residential fire in the area of Mississauga and Kane roads, where they found Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services crews working to extinguish a blaze at a two-storey home, Peel police said in an email. The house sustained heavy damage as a result."
"Police did not say if anyone was injured. The attending fire inspector determined the fire to be "suspicious in nature," police said. They said the scene would be held pending an investigation conducted by Peel police's criminal investigation bureau and Ontario's Fire Marshal's office. Police said there was no further information they could provide as of Saturday morning."
On Halloween night, a two-storey home near Mississauga and Kane roads caught fire shortly before 9 p.m. Fire crews from Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services worked to extinguish the blaze, and the house sustained heavy damage. Police did not disclose whether anyone was injured. The attending fire inspector deemed the fire suspicious in nature.
