Hurricane Flossie has intensified into a Category 2 cyclone off the Pacific coast of Mexico, with maximum sustained winds recorded at 110 mph. Forecasts indicate that Flossie could reach Category 3 status as early as Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Currently located 180 miles southwest of Manzanillo, the hurricane is moving northwest at a speed of 10 mph. A tropical storm warning is in effect along parts of the coastline, with anticipated rainfall totals of up to 6 inches. Flossie is expected to weaken rapidly by late Wednesday.
