"As heavy snow falls throughout the Greater Toronto Area, several municipal programs and services have closed due to the deteriorating weather conditions. Environment Canada has issued a severe orange weather warning for a snowstorm that will bring up to 40 centimetres of snow across the GTA. Residents are being warned of dangerous travel conditions, including the possibility of near-zero visibility at times."
"Staff are monitoring the weather and will update the websites if there are any closures or impacts to secondary exams for Monday, said the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board on social media. Exams cancelled on Monday will be rescheduled for Thursday, said the TCDSB's website. All library branches are closed and recreation programs at schools are cancelled in Toronto due to the heavy snow, said the city. It said city pools remain open on Sunday morning."
"Crews will be working around the clock to clear streets, sidewalks and bike lanes, said the city on social media, adding residents should avoid all non-essential travel. "Get groceries and medications earlier in the day, if possible and only if you have to," it said. TTC bus stops out of service, over half of Pearson flights cancelled Across the city, 48 bus stops are not in service to avoid the risk of buses getting stuck in the heavy snow, according to the TTC's website."
