Frigid temperatures and snow squall warnings are expected across parts of the Greater Toronto Area this week. Temperatures will drop to double-digit lows by Monday evening. Toronto will see light snow Monday afternoon into midnight with possible snow squalls and blowing snow. York and Peel regions face a yellow advisory with up to 25 centimetres of snow from Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. The City of Toronto is opening additional warming centres Monday evening and lists several currently open locations across the city for people seeking shelter from the cold.
