Two drug dealers, Nikolin Marku and Aleksander Gjoni, were sentenced after police uncovered a large cannabis cultivation operation in Ipswich, revealing 170 seedlings and 27 large plants.
Police stopped a vehicle linked to Gjoni on February 14, eventually uncovering the cannabis farm in Ipswich. Gjoni's connection to the property led to further arrests.
Marku, who was stopped while transporting cannabis, pleaded guilty to involvement in supplying the drug, and received a three-year prison sentence for his activities.
Gjoni, arrested during the police search, claimed to only be a gardener and was sentenced to nine months for his involvement in the cannabis production.
