Dollarama buys land for Calgary warehouse, targets 2,200 Canadian stores by 2034 | CBC News
Briefly

Dollarama plans to build a new 1.6 million square-foot distribution center in Balzac, Alberta to enhance its logistics and service Western Canada effectively by 2027.
CEO Neil Rossy stated, "While our current operations have served us well, given our Western store base and future growth plans, it’s the right time for a two-node logistics operation."
Dollarama is set to increase its store count from 1,541 to 2,200 by 2034, a shift from its original goal of 2,000 stores by 2031.
CFO Patrick Bui emphasized that the company's focus on strong payback periods for new stores gives them confidence in achieving longer-term growth targets.
