A 64-year-old man from British Columbia, Jason Lin, died following an apparent drowning at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. New Hampshire State Police reported that the Marine Patrol responded shortly after 1 p.m. to an emergency on Minister Island. Lifesaving efforts were undertaken, but Lin was pronounced dead upon arrival at Concord Hospital-Laconia. Preliminary investigations indicated Lin was swimming when he reportedly became exhausted, submerged, and failed to resurface. Assistance in the case was provided by local police and fire departments.
