Boy (16) dies following fall near Co Kerry lake

A 16-year-old boy from north Cork fell from a height near Peddlers Lake at Conor Pass around Tuesday afternoon while visiting with his parents.
Despite the swift response from various emergency services, including the Coast Guard, Mountain Rescue Team, and Gardaí, the boy unfortunately died at the scene.
The alarm was raised, leading to the deployment of Valentia Coast Guard and the Shannon-based Rescue 115 helicopter to assist in the rescue efforts.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place soon, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner's office.
