Several Democratic hopefuls have withdrawn, leaving a crowded slate including Xavier Becerra, Tony Thurmond, Betty Yee, Antonio Villaraigosa, Tom Steyer, Eric Swalwell and Katie Porter. On the Republican side, Chad Bianco and Steve Hilton have climbed in polls.
