Ruben stopped, put his car in park, and ran out to assist, anchoring himself to the stranded car to communicate with the occupants. The vehicle contained two people and two small dogs. Other motorists stopped to help and tied a rope to stabilize the car. Rescuers extracted the driver and passenger one by one. Yvett called 911 and first responders arrived about 15 to 20 minutes later. Both people were rescued safely with no injuries reported.
