Since its discovery two days ago, the Pinnacles Fire has burned 16.8 acres with 50% containment achieved by a dedicated team of 123 firefighters and numerous air tankers.
Containment does not mean the fire is out, but indicates how much of the fire perimeter has been surrounded by control lines, showing firefighters' progress.
