Two suspects charged in Emeryville fatal shooting
"According to court documents, Watson and Abeyta were arguing in front of a market when a Honda Accord driven by Landry pulled up. Watson moved to enter the vehicle, while Landry got out and began arguing with Abeyta. Police said the suspects did not know Abeyta but have not specified what the argument may have been about. The documents say Watson got a firearm from the vehicle and began shooting at Abeyta."
"A physical struggle then ensued, during which Landry allegedly stomped Abeyta in the head several times as he lay on the pavement, leaving him unconscious, the documents say. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. The two men fled in the Honda but were arrested within minutes after crashing into into a center median by UC police, who were in the area."
