Abeyta was shot about 1:11 a.m. in the 3800 block of San Pablo Avenue; the incident was captured on surveillance video. Court documents state Watson and Abeyta argued in front of a market, a Honda driven by Landry arrived, and Watson retrieved a firearm and began shooting. Landry allegedly stomped Abeyta as he lay unconscious. The suspects fled, crashed into a center median, and were arrested minutes later. Prior felony convictions are noted for both suspects.
