"Burglars have hit two homes in Atherton in the past week, one on Euclid Avenue, which resulted in the arrests of three juveniles, and a second on Tuscaloosa Avenue. The first burglary in the 0-99 block of Euclid was reported to police at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 13), and when police went to the house, they connected the youths to the crime. Police said the juveniles were identified, arrested and released to their parents."
"The second burglary happened on Thursday (Sept. 18) in the 100 block of Tuscaloosa Avenue. The burglars got into the house by smashing a glass door, police said. No arrests have been made in that case. Police offered the following tips to homeowners to reduce the odds they'll be hit by burglars: Lock all doors and windows when leaving home, even for a short time. Use exterior lighting and motion detectors to deter intruders."
