Southern California man charged with murder of missing teen after remains found in Salton Sea area
"Her mother, Chaya Tovar, reported her missing in December. Tovar did not respond to a request for comment. But Tovar chronicled her efforts to find her daughter on her Facebook account, beginning on Dec. 17 when she sought help from the public in locating her. "She has not been on social media and her phone was going straight to voicemail. A friend of hers dropped her off almost 2 weeks ago and has not heard from her," Tovar wrote on Facebook."
"A 51-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a missing teen whose remains were discovered in the Salton Sea area two months ago. The Imperial County district attorney's office charged Abraham H. Feinbloom on Tuesday with murder and two enhancements related to the use and discharge of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Feinbloom pleaded not guilty, according to court records and prosecutors."
Abraham H. Feinbloom was charged with murder and two firearm-use enhancements after remains discovered in the Salton Sea area were confirmed by DNA to belong to 17-year-old T'Neya Tovar. Feinbloom pleaded not guilty and faces 50 years to life if convicted on all counts. Authorities arrested Feinbloom and executed a search warrant at his Salton City home on Harlequin Court, where the teen was last seen. Feinbloom had been a long-time person of interest in Tovar's disappearance after her mother reported her missing in December and posted videos and pleas on Facebook seeking help locating her.
