"So many times, we've sat in that room that's been devastated and it's just to think that you could be sitting there drinking coffee, eatin"
A vehicle was captured speeding down University Avenue in Los Gatos and crashed into Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company around 9 p.m. on November 27. The driver was a 90-year-old man who was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Fixtures and furniture in half the building were demolished while the coffee roaster itself remained intact. Police reported that alcohol is suspected to have played a role and said investigators are reviewing all factors. Nearby surveillance footage assisted police, and longtime community members expressed shock and relief that no customers were hurt.
