Search underway for Bay Area woman who went missing on popular trail
"Sunshine Borjas reportedly left her Santa Rosa home at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday to hike the Bodega Head Trail alone along the Sonoma Coast. A family member reported Borjas missing around midnight, according to Santa Rosa police spokesperson Patricia Seffens. Officers found her vehicle at the Bodega Head Trail parking lot around 2 a.m. on Thursday, but Borjas has not been located."
"Santa Rosa police are asking anyone who saw Borjas or knows anything about her whereabouts to contact the Santa Rosa Police Department non-emergency dispatch line at 707-528-5222. She was last seen in a gray shirt, gray leggings and black shoes. The trail Borjas was on follows the Bodega Head bluffs and is described as a "relatively easy" hike that overlooks the ocean and is popular with whale watchers."
