Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to apply for approximately $609 in college grant money."
"Sept. 9 Fraudulent registration tab, unlicensed driver: At 3:22 p.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Prospect Road and Brookvale Drive for an equipment violation. An investigation revealed the suspect was driving without a license and had affixed a fraudulent registration tab to the rear license plate. The suspect was arrested and booked into main jail."

A Saratoga resident reported identity theft involving roughly $609 in attempted college grant funds. On Sept. 9 deputies arrested an unlicensed driver who had affixed a fraudulent registration tab. On Sept. 12 a resident lost about $680 to a gift-card scam. At 2:55 a.m. three suspects stole a vehicle on Chateau Drive valued at over $100,000.
