"An Oakland man has been charged with three felonies in connection with an Oct. 24 robbery where the victim, a 78-year-old man, was beaten with a gun, court records show. Bobby Lu, 41, was charged with home invasion robbery, assault with a firearm, and elder abuse, court records show. He is not in the county jail system and hasn't yet had a court date."
"Lu was identified as one of two men who went into a home on the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard to rob the resident, police said in court filings. One of the robbers covered the man's head with a blanket, threatened to shoot him, and struck him with a pistol, causing a lump and bleeding, the documents say. They allegedly took vinyl records and and RCA radio."
"Another man was identified as the other suspected robber, but he hasn't been charged, according to court records. Police said he admitted to being the driver and said Lu paid him before and after the robbery, but denied knowing the others had gone into the house to rob someone. Lu has three prior felony convictions, including for a home burglary, court records show. When he was arrested on a Ramey warrant on Nov. 18, he denied any contact with the second suspect, even though cellphone records placed them together for a full day, according to police."
