San Jose woman arrested on suspicion of murder
"A 34-year-old San Jose woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after an intentional and ultimately fatal hit-and-run collision Sunday night in San Jose, police said. The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way, San Jose police Sgt. Jorge Garibay said in a news release. Officers arrived to find a woman down in the roadway. Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Garibay said."
"Garibay said preliminary information indicated the collision was an intentional act, adding that the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. The suspect identified as Yanette Beas Solorio was found two miles from the scene in Santa Clara, Garibay said. She was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into Santa Clara County jail. Beas Solorio is being held at the Main Jail in San Jose without bail."

The death is San Jose's 24th homicide of the year.
