"The report described a clash between male juveniles that led an alleged negligent discharge of a firearm, San Jose police said in a news release Tuesday. Detectives eventually identified a 16-year-old boy as a suspect in the shooting, and learned that the boy was also suspected of shooting off a gun in other instances, including one near a school in Milpitas, police said."
"Police said the investigation uncovered a series of videos, alleged to have been taken in Milpitas by the suspect or an acquaintance, showing a person repeatedly firing an semiautomatic pistol into the air and at a wall. On Sept. 25, San Jose police said its SWAT team located and arrested the suspect at his home in Milpitas. The teen was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of multiple gun crimes, including discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school, police said."
A 16-year-old from Milpitas was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm near a Sikh Gurdwara and adjacent school in Evergreen Hills in February. Police received a March report about a Feb. 23 disturbance near Gurdwara Avenue describing a clash between male juveniles that led to an alleged negligent discharge. Detectives linked the suspect to other incidents, including reported gunfire near a Milpitas school. The investigation found videos alleged to show the suspect or an acquaintance firing a semiautomatic pistol into the air and at a wall. San Jose SWAT arrested him at his home on Sept. 25; he was booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of multiple gun crimes.
