A bronze ram statue named Rocky was cut from its pedestal and stolen from outside the KUIU store on North Lincoln Street in Dixon during the early hours of Dec. 31. Surveillance footage shows two suspects cutting the statue's feet, toppling it, and struggling to load it into a vehicle before returning with a dolly to remove it. KUIU posted the footage on social media and offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, and requested that anyone with information contact the Dixon Police Department. Artist Joshua Tobey shared images and video, expressed that he suspects theft for metal value, and described emotional distress over the damage.
