Thomann was pronounced brain dead after suffering severe injuries from the fall, with her family expressing heartbreak over the insurmountable injuries she sustained.
Principal Bill Woodard of Dos Pueblos High School lamented the loss of Ms. Thomann, describing her as a kind teacher loved by students and faculty alike.
Despite the tragedy, Clara Thomann's organs were donated, providing hope for others, as noted by Chania General Hospital in their statement.
