"Mikey Rijavec, best known for his Fish and Sips YouTube channel, was last heard from on Tuesday, when he issued a mayday call while fishing some eight miles away from the coast, NBC News reported. Fellow anglers tried assist him with an engine issue by phone, but the call was suddenly disconnected before the issue could be resolved. The YouTuber's 14-foot long skiff was later found some five miles from shore. It was missing its six-horsepower outboard engine when it was discovered."
"Phil Friedman, a fellow angler and podcaster, who is also friends with Rijavec, told NBC that the fishing influencer is an adventurer who pushes the envelope. He also said he's not giving up hope that his friend somehow survived and made it to shore. What could have happened? Oh my God, it's endless. It could be foul play, Friedman said. You never know, it's something that happens at sea sometimes. It could be a whale, it could be a shark."
