"SANTA CRUZ - Police have arrested a former Pop Warner football coach in Santa Cruz for multiple sexual assault charges involving a minor on "multiple occasions," according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office. Detectives believe there may be additional victims. Christopher John Weekes, 32, of Soquel, was arrested Tuesday on five counts of child sex crimes, including lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14,"

"President of Santa Cruz Pop Warner Football and Cheer Ernie Camacho told the Sentinel that Weekes was suspended indefinitely from the program since learning of the arrest. "We at Santa Cruz Pop Warner take the integrity of our program and the protection of our children at the highest priority," he said. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
