"The two men, both 37, who live in the area, were sitting in a parked vehicle when a car stopped and two men, one wearing a mask who was armed with a gun, got out and approached the vehicle. According to initial police reports, the man sitting in the driver's seat was pistol whipped and robbed of his wallet that contained cash and other personal items."
"When he appeared as if he was going to resist, he was shot at but the bullet missed him and hit the other man in the shoulder, according to the initial reports. The suspects then fled in the vehicle eastbound on International Boulevard. Detailed descriptions of the suspects and the vehicle, believed to be a Lexus, were not released. A robbery in East Oakland left one man shot and another pistol-whipped at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of 81st Avenue near International Boulevard. Both 37-year-old victims were sitting in a parked vehicle when two suspects stopped their car, including one wearing a mask and armed with a gun. The driver was pistol-whipped and robbed of his wallet, which contained cash and personal items. When the driver appeared likely to resist, a shot was fired that missed him and struck the other man in the shoulder.
