The fire department received a call at 2:11 p.m. about a fire that broke out in a house across from Fire Station 14 on 26th Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke in the rear and the attic of the house and encountered multiple floors on fire.
The fire was contained at around 2:30 p.m. and there is 1 minor injury to a firefighter and 1 civilian fatality.
