Nominations are open for Sunnyvale's 2026 Community Awards. Distinguished Resident of the Year recognizes an individual who devoted time, resources or talent toward improving the community. Educator of the Year recognizes teachers or school personnel who contributed to their school, students and community in public, private or post-secondary schools serving Sunnyvale. High School Student of the Year recognizes students who excel academically and in extracurricular activities. Businessperson/Business of the Year recognizes businesses or businesspeople for leadership, community involvement and creative partnerships. Contribution to the Arts, Environmental Achievement, and Community Volunteer awards honor outstanding contributions to the arts, environment, and volunteer service.
