"No public safety shutoffs are planned in the next seven days, according to PG&E. Over the weekend, several small fires erupted throughout the Bay Area, including the Middle Fire in Sonoma County near Middle Ridge Road. The elevated fire weather threat is in effect through Monday, according to the National Weather Service, because the relative humidity is between 10 and 25% and wind gusts are up to 50 mph in the interior Bay Area and Central Coast."
Strong winds caused weather-related power outages across the Bay Area, leaving 11,824 customers without power as of 12 p.m. The largest outage counts were in the North Bay, East Bay, and South Bay, while the Peninsula and San Francisco had fewer outages. Most outages were attributed to weather issues, with some tied to planned public safety power shutoffs. PG&E reported 685 outages connected to planned shutoffs and shut off power for 4,700 customers since Sunday. PG&E issued an all-clear for parts of multiple counties after winds eased, allowing crews to inspect equipment. No public safety shutoffs were planned for the next seven days. Elevated fire risk persisted due to low humidity and high wind gusts, with small fires reported over the weekend.
