Motorcyclist killed in Highway 1 crash near Bodega ID'd
"Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed Sunday in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 1 southeast of Bodega. Jeremy White, 36, of Santa Rosa, was attempting to pass southbound vehicles in the opposing lane when he struck a northbound minivan head-on. The impact threw him from his motorcycle, and a southbound Dodge pickup truck towing a camper then struck him north of Valley Ford Road, according to the California Highway Patrol."
"White was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office identified him Wednesday. The minivan driver suffered major injuries and was flown to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Officers later arrested her there on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs. As of Thursday, she had not been charged in Sonoma County court, records show. The driver and passenger in the truck were unharmed. CHP investigators concluded White made an unsafe pass at an unsafe speed, which caused the crash."
