On April 3, deputies responded to reports of loud vehicles and trespassing at the abandoned Burbank Theater in San Jose. Nearly 100 minors were found inside, attempting to flee through alternative exits and onto the roof. Deputies forced everyone out, set up an incident command post, and admonished the juveniles, advising them not to return. No firearms were found, and no injuries were reported. The theater, which opened in 1951, has been considered for housing development while preserving its iconic sign.
