Lisa Catalano, a 42-year-old San Mateo resident, rented digital billboards along Highway 101 to find a husband. The billboard campaign solicited applicants and attracted more than 3,500 potential suitors. Catalano reviewed all of the applications and reports that the review is complete. She plans to move forward by meeting and dating selected applicants soon. The campaign used public roadside advertising to draw attention and generate a large pool of respondents. The effort has transitioned from collecting applications to arranging real-world dates with interested candidates.
