On Friday night, new evacuation orders were issued as the Palisades Fire expanded significantly, now covering an area of 77 square miles and impacting Interstate 405.
As of January 11, the Palisades Fire has reached 22,660 acres with only 11% containment, prompting ongoing evacuation efforts and highway interchanges closures.
Meanwhile, the Eaton Fire is also a concern, burning 14,117 acres with a containment level at 15%, spreading towards the Angeles National Forest.
Evacuation orders were successfully lifted for the Kenneth and Hurst fires, indicating progress with both fires now being approximately 80% contained.
