The shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of 66th Avenue in the Havenscourt district. The victim reported he was walking when someone in a blue van drove by and opened fire, striking him in the face. He ran to a nearby residence for help and was taken to a hospital. A motive has not been determined and no detailed suspect description has been released. Investigators request anyone with information to call 510-238-3426.
