Paramedics discovered Mateo hanging upside down from a tree, but were unable to revive him despite their efforts. He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
His family described Mateo through a GoFundMe page, stating, 'He was a brother, a son, and an uncle. He always took care of his mother and family,' signifying the deep personal loss they are facing.
During the emergency, paramedics could not rescue Mateo for nearly an hour, waiting instead for the power to be turned off to ensure safety.
