Machete-wielding man chases teen allegedly over 49ers jersey in Southern California laundromat
"POMONA, Calif. -- A machete-wielding man chased a teenager through a Southern California laundromat on Saturday after seeing the teen wearing a 49ers jersey, according to the boy's father. The confrontation unfolded inside the Super Wash N Dry in Pomona, where video shows the suspect entering the business holding a large machete. The footage captures the teen running through the laundromat as the man follows him."
"The suspect briefly walked out before returning. At that point, the teen's father, who owns the laundromat, shut the door, ending up face-to-face with the armed man. Surveillance video shows the suspect swinging the machete and smashing the glass. "He's telling me to get my red hat off, the same way he was telling my son and he breaks the window - luckily I was able to move out of the way of the machete coming through the glass and after a little back and forth he went away," said owner Phil Hernandez. "At the end of the day I think the important thing for me was keeping everyone in the building safe, my customers and my son.""
