Jeffry Figueroa, a resident of California, recently discovered that his lottery scratcher, which he thought was worth $1,000, actually won him the top prize of $1 million. After purchasing the Winter Magic Multiplier ticket for $10 at Koko's Liquor in Los Angeles, he nervously visited the lottery office to claim his prize. Figueroa described the moment as surreal and unbelievable. In addition, Koko's Liquor received a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, and he’s one of several players recently to win significant cash prizes in California.
"When they told me, I was shaking so much I could barely sign the claim form. It was so surreal. I still can't believe it!"
"Koko's Liquor will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, officials said."
