'Jolty' 3.8-magnitude earthquake shakes Southern California overnight, geologists say
Briefly

"A swarm of dozens of earthquakes reaching up to 4.8 magnitude rattled El Centro on Feb. 12, McClatchy News reported. A 4.6-magnitude earthquake also shook the Los Angeles area just days before."
"Earthquakes' sudden, rapid shaking can cause fires, tsunamis, landslides or avalanches. They can happen anywhere, but they're most common in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Puerto Rico and Washington, according to the Department of Homeland Security."
