Jerome Lee "Jerry" Strom, born in 1936, died peacefully at home in Los Altos Hills on October 1, 2025, at age 89. He served honorably in the United States Army, including stations in Missouri, Paris, and the San Francisco Presidio, and used the GI Bill to attend North Dakota State University, Dickinson. He married Rosie Ann Ridl in 1959 and they raised two children, Roger and Nancy. They worked as schoolteachers, ran a successful Palo Alto restaurant, then pursued a long career in multi-residential real estate. Jerry cared for Rosie during her illness until her 2005 passing and remained active in church and community organizations, known for hard work, self-sufficiency, fair dealing, and steady support to family and others.
